A new key biodiversity platform for cross sectoral collaboration
For its inaugural launch, World Biodiversity Summit will help define what world leaders and the private sector in biodiversity and climate action need to do in the medium and long term to achieve sustainable development and hinder further biodiversity loss, focusing on partnerships and investment mechanisms as levers of progress. World Biodiversity Summit is a platform for responding to accelerating biodiversity loss, by using the Paris Agreement as a framework to learn from, promoting relevant solutions, innovations, and leadership networks, strengthening nature restoration and conservation. Nature-based solutions will be highlighted, from specificecosystems to global possibilities.

Silvia Pavoni is the founding editor of Sustainable Views, a platform by the Financial Times group that gives readers insight into how environmental, social and governance principles are reshaping capital, and into the emerging sets of policy and regulations driving this change. Silvia launched the service in November 2021, after pitching the idea to a board member of the FT.
Since joining the group in 2005, she has been on assignment to over two dozen countries, reporting with both written and filmed pieces for The Banker, where more recently she was economics editor. She regularly interviews business and finance leaders and is an experienced public speaker.
Silvia is also an advisory board member of the European Risk Management Council and of the Women of the Future Programme and is a member of the London council of not-for-profit WILL, Women in Leadership in Latin America. In 2019, she was awarded an honorary fellowship by City University of London.
