A new key biodiversity platform for cross sectoral collaboration
For its inaugural launch, World Biodiversity Summit will help define what world leaders and the private sector in biodiversity and climate action need to do in the medium and long term to achieve sustainable development and hinder further biodiversity loss, focusing on partnerships and investment mechanisms as levers of progress. World Biodiversity Summit is a platform for responding to accelerating biodiversity loss, by using the Paris Agreement as a framework to learn from, promoting relevant solutions, innovations, and leadership networks, strengthening nature restoration and conservation. Nature-based solutions will be highlighted, from specificecosystems to global possibilities.

International Solar Alliance
Mr Jagjeet Sareen is working as the Assistant Director-General (Strategy) at the International Solar Alliance (ISA) Secretariat. He is on secondment from the World Bank Headquarters to the ISA Secretariat. At the Bank, he served as a Senior Policy Officer at the Climate Investment Funds. He has been working on global climate change issues and green financing for over 17 years at various MDBs (the World Bank and Asian Development Bank) and UN and its funding agencies (UNFCCC secretariat and the Green Climate Fund). He was awarded Chevening Gurukul Fellowship 2020 for Leadership and Excellence by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (hosted by the University of Oxford). He was chosen as one of the top ten Chief Investment Officers in 2021 by the CEO Insights magazine. He is a member of Chatham House and the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS).
