A new key biodiversity platform for cross sectoral collaboration
For its inaugural launch, World Biodiversity Summit will help define what world leaders and the private sector in biodiversity and climate action need to do in the medium and long term to achieve sustainable development and hinder further biodiversity loss, focusing on partnerships and investment mechanisms as levers of progress. World Biodiversity Summit is a platform for responding to accelerating biodiversity loss, by using the Paris Agreement as a framework to learn from, promoting relevant solutions, innovations, and leadership networks, strengthening nature restoration and conservation. Nature-based solutions will be highlighted, from specificecosystems to global possibilities.

Joshua Wycliffe brings several years of Development experience within the International Civil Services (covering Climate Action and the Environment streams). He has spearheaded transformational programs across government functionaries in multiple geographies. A critical success for him has been the modeling and implementation of environmentally and economically resilient Nature Based Solutions internationally.
Before joining the International Solar Alliance, as the Chief of Operations, Joshua was posted to Fiji as the Permanent Secretary, for the Ministry of Environment. He started his career in the New Zealand Civil Service. Joshua’s appointments internationally have led to significant changes within government/business units as he led key sustainability (change) programs, commercializing the infrastructure development in New Zealand, Australia, Asia-pacific, and Africa.
Joshua sits on boards (internationally) supporting global best practice standards in governance. His work developing climatically, and economically resilient community solutions (involving newer technologies) have created and sustained multiple government options that have fostered employment, built capacity, and wrought innovative outcomes
