A new key biodiversity platform for cross sectoral collaboration
For its inaugural launch, World Biodiversity Summit will help define what world leaders and the private sector in biodiversity and climate action need to do in the medium and long term to achieve sustainable development and hinder further biodiversity loss, focusing on partnerships and investment mechanisms as levers of progress. World Biodiversity Summit is a platform for responding to accelerating biodiversity loss, by using the Paris Agreement as a framework to learn from, promoting relevant solutions, innovations, and leadership networks, strengthening nature restoration and conservation. Nature-based solutions will be highlighted, from specificecosystems to global possibilities.

Peter is Vice President and Global Director for Climate Resilience & ESG at WSP and integrates sustainability, decarbonization and resilience into projects to deliver project outputs that can adapt to climate risks, drive community impacts, align with finance and support ESG performance. He is the director for the WSP ADAPTSM for resiliency & ESG Performance system that is being integrated across the organization and can be applied across a range of sectors. Director of the WSP ResilienceLens Screen for Investments tool developed in partnership with the Rockefeller Foundation/RCN which supports the WSP Future Ready program.
A member of the Meridiam Investments Resilience Committee that supports a $10bn TURF Resilience Catalytic Capital Fund (CCF) that is creating a shift in infrastructure that is resilient, drives net-zero progress and creates opportunities and impacts for the people that rely on their services in a climate-impacted world. Since 2021 he has Advisor to the Climate Champions team focused on mainstreaming climate resilience and is currently an advisor to the Sharm el-Sheikh Adaption Agenda.
