A new key biodiversity platform for cross sectoral collaboration
For its inaugural launch, World Biodiversity Summit will help define what world leaders and the private sector in biodiversity and climate action need to do in the medium and long term to achieve sustainable development and hinder further biodiversity loss, focusing on partnerships and investment mechanisms as levers of progress. World Biodiversity Summit is a platform for responding to accelerating biodiversity loss, by using the Paris Agreement as a framework to learn from, promoting relevant solutions, innovations, and leadership networks, strengthening nature restoration and conservation. Nature-based solutions will be highlighted, from specificecosystems to global possibilities.

Lloyd Cochrane
Head of Mortgages, NatWest
Lloyd has worked in UK Financial Services, largely focussed on residential mortgages, for more than 20 years. For the last 9 years Lloyd has been Head of Mortgages at NatWest leading the growth of the business from around £95bn to around £170bn of assets over the period, from no 6 to no 3 in the market, and working as part of the team to transform the experience for customers. In the last 2 years he has led the NatWest housing climate strategy, creating the proposition to support NatWest mortgage customers and building a broader role for the business. This broader role includes establishing the Sustainable Homes and Buildings Coalition with British Gas, Worcester Bosch, Shelter and Citizens Advice and launching the Green Homes Attitude Tracker to measure consumer awareness of housing climate issues each quarter Prior to joining NatWest, Lloyd worked at Virgin Money, having joined Northern Rock as Head of Mortgages in late 2008 as part of the leadership team that turned around the Bank, before selling it to Virgin Money at the end of 2011. He started his career as a graduate with Barclays before moving to Fitch Ratings and then spent 5 years working for Lehman Brothers, rising to Executive Director.
