A new key biodiversity platform for cross sectoral collaboration
For its inaugural launch, World Biodiversity Summit will help define what world leaders and the private sector in biodiversity and climate action need to do in the medium and long term to achieve sustainable development and hinder further biodiversity loss, focusing on partnerships and investment mechanisms as levers of progress. World Biodiversity Summit is a platform for responding to accelerating biodiversity loss, by using the Paris Agreement as a framework to learn from, promoting relevant solutions, innovations, and leadership networks, strengthening nature restoration and conservation. Nature-based solutions will be highlighted, from specificecosystems to global possibilities.
Elie Aloko
Vice President at AFC Capital Partners, Africa Finance Corporation
Elie Aloko is Vice President, Head of Business Development and Investments at AFC Capital Partners, the asset management arm of Africa Finance Corporation (AFC). He has significant investment experience in low carbon and climate resilient infrastructure in Africa and Emerging Markets. Most recently, Elie was the Director of Environmental and Climate Finance at the West African Development Bank. He also held the position of Climate Investment Specialist at the Green Climate Fund (GCF). Previously, Elie was an Investment Professional at Robeco Asset Management and the Netherlands Development Bank (FMO) after starting his career at BlackRock. Elie holds a Master of Science in Money, Banking, and Finance from the University of St Andrews (UK) and a Bachelor of Business Administration with First Class Honors from Valley View University in Ghana.Â
