A new key biodiversity platform for cross sectoral collaboration
For its inaugural launch, World Biodiversity Summit will help define what world leaders and the private sector in biodiversity and climate action need to do in the medium and long term to achieve sustainable development and hinder further biodiversity loss, focusing on partnerships and investment mechanisms as levers of progress. World Biodiversity Summit is a platform for responding to accelerating biodiversity loss, by using the Paris Agreement as a framework to learn from, promoting relevant solutions, innovations, and leadership networks, strengthening nature restoration and conservation. Nature-based solutions will be highlighted, from specificecosystems to global possibilities.

Peter Kjærgaard
Head of Wealth Management at Nykredit
Peter Kjærgaard is head of Nykredit Wealth Management, where he is responsible for the Nykredit Group’s activities within asset management, fund administration and private banking. Furthermore, Peter is a member of Nykredit Executive Committee. Peter joined Nykredit in 2013 as Chief Investment Officer, and later became Managing Director of Nykredit Asset Management, ahead of the establishment of Wealth Management in 2019.
Prior to Nykredit, Peter spent 14 years in London, first at BNP Paribas being responsible for Nordic financial customers during 2001-2005, and then at Royal Bank of Scotland from 2005-2013 where he held several positions, including Head of Strategic Investors and Head of Active Credit Portfolio Management in the bank’s Global Markets division.
Peter began his career in the financial sector in Denmark at Unibank (now Nordea), working with large corporates in Copenhagen and later London. In addition to his education within banking, Peter holds a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School, an MBA from Westminster Business School, and he has completed the Advanced Management Program at INSEAD. Peter was elected chairman of Investment Denmark in June 2020.
