A new key biodiversity platform for cross sectoral collaboration
For its inaugural launch, World Biodiversity Summit will help define what world leaders and the private sector in biodiversity and climate action need to do in the medium and long term to achieve sustainable development and hinder further biodiversity loss, focusing on partnerships and investment mechanisms as levers of progress. World Biodiversity Summit is a platform for responding to accelerating biodiversity loss, by using the Paris Agreement as a framework to learn from, promoting relevant solutions, innovations, and leadership networks, strengthening nature restoration and conservation. Nature-based solutions will be highlighted, from specificecosystems to global possibilities.

Christina Grumstrup Sørensen is a Senior Partner at Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners, a renewable infrastructure fund management company founded in 2012. CIP manages 6 funds totaling more than EUR 10 billion, and Christina is heading the Asset Management across the Construction and Operational investments in all technologies. Christina has more than 20 years of experience in energy and a diverse range of other sectors.
Christina worked as a Senior Vice President at DONG Energy Renewables, and was leading the development of DONG Energy’s offshore strategy and execution from the Walney Offshore Wind Farm to the Anholt and Borkum Rifgrund projects among others. Before DONG Energy, Christina was an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Co for 7 years.
Member of the board of directors of DSB A/S (the Danish Railway Company) and Human Practice Foundation. She holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Technical University of Denmark.
